Library Pro

Installation

Full documentation for Library Pro is on the way. Until then, here is how to get it installed and running.

Library Pro is an extension rather than a script, so it installs differently to the other tools. It arrives as a .zxp file, which After Effects cannot install on its own.

   Close After Effects.

   Download the latest Library Pro build from your dashboard.

   If you don't already have it, install the aescripts ZXP Installer. I'm looking at other ways to distribute, but for now this has the fewest problems for installing and updating.

   Drag the Library Pro .zxp onto the ZXP Installer.

   Open After Effects, then Window > Extensions > Library Pro.

   Work through the onboarding. Pick where your libraries live, ideally an SSD rather than the system drive it defaults to. Then let it download the media tools. Don't worry, it's a one-time download on first launch and it's what makes preview generation possible.

   Sign in with the same ToolsForMotion account you downloaded with. The panel activates itself and starts your trial.

Updating

The same steps. Close After Effects, download the new build from your dashboard, drag it onto the ZXP Installer, then reopen After Effects.

You do not need to uninstall the old version first, and you will not have to sign in again.
